United Way of Thunder Bay

The United Way of Thunder Bay serves our community by promoting, supporting and facilitating the organized capacity of people to help one another. The organization provides assistance in fulfilling community needs, develops and implement an annual fundraising campaign, allocates funds to service providers within the communities, and encourages the involvement and effective participation of volunteers. TBT Engineering is proud to conduct an annual fundraising campaign for this organization. Every year, employees donate generously to make a positive difference in the community. TBTE then matches all donations dollar-for-dollar. Every year, this campaign becomes more successful. The annual campaign is now considered part of our culture here at TBTE. City of Thunder Bay – Spring Up to Clean Up

Spring Up to Clean Up is a community-wide litter clean-up campaign funded by the City of Thunder Bay and delivered by EcoSuperior to help keep Thunder Bay clean, green and beautiful. In each of the last two years, close to 11,000 volunteers have cleaned up over 250 areas in and around the city. Every year, TBT Engineering employees donate an afternoon to help clean an industrial area and flood way on the east side of the city. Working together with other dedicated volunteers, TBT Engineering is helping keep our city clean, green and beautiful!

Children’s Aid Society

The Children’s Aid Society of Thunder Bay protects and enhances the lives of children by strengthening families in partnership with the community. They strive to develop an environment where all children can grow up with a sense of belonging, in a safe and nurturing environment. TBT Engineering is proud to be a supporter of the organization’s Christmas Hamper Program. Every year, company employees work together and donate generously to help fulfill wish lists for young children whose families are struggling financially. During a season when the spirit of giving is emphasized, TBTE is proud to help make Christmas a special time for children who need it most.

Mary J. L. Black Branch Library

In 2010, a new, state-of-the-art facility was built for the Mary J L. Black Library. This new public library branch is an important community hub for Thunder Bay children, families, businesses and visitors. It is a neighborhood link to the world! TBT was proud to assist in construction of the new facility and has also donated a legacy gift to name the 4 Book Kiosks that all of the readers will access. TBT Engineering is looking forward to continuing to work with the Mary J.L. Black Library to help ensure that community residents have access to education resources.

Red Cross Thunder Bay Branch

The Canadian Red Cross mission is to improve the lives of vulnerable people by mobilizing the power of humanity in Canada and around the world. The Canadian Red Cross is the leading humanitarian organization through which people voluntarily demonstrate their caring for others in need. TBT Engineering and the Red Cross are proud to be partners in the Red Cross Northern First Nations Injury Prevention Program. Recently, TBT Engineering created a Travel Bursary to assist in training and delivering First Aid to First Nation communities in our region. Together with the Red Cross, TBT Engineering will focus on improving quality of life in many remote First Nations communities by improving capacity to prevent injuries and promoting healthy living.

Every year, TBT Engineering supports a wide range of community events, campaigns and causes. From social causes and cultural events to education-based training and youth activities, we support various initiatives through financial assistance, prize donations, or corporate support. Moving forward, TBT Engineering will continue to take a strategic approach to philanthropy by supporting causes, events, and activities that align with our corporate beliefs and values.
