Position Description

Lead and contribute to a variety of Structural Engineering projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. Apply advanced technical knowledge in the analysis, design, and implementation of structural systems for commercial, residential, and institutional buildings. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight while guiding junior staff and ensuring projects are delivered efficiently, accurately, and in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute Structural Engineering projects for building structures, including design, analysis, and detailing of steel, concrete, timber, and composite systems.
  • Prepare and review structural drawings, specifications, calculations, and construction documentation.
  • Conduct structural analysis and assessments to ensure safety, performance, and compliance with applicable building codes and standards.
  • Lead coordination with clients, consultants, architects, contractors, and regulatory agencies to ensure effective project delivery.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior and intermediate staff, promoting technical growth and professional development.
  • Support project management tasks, including budgeting, scheduling, and resource planning.
  • Ensure compliance with applicable engineering standards, codes, and municipal requirements.
  • Contribute to proposal development and business development initiatives through client engagement and technical input.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in Structural Engineering for buildings, supported by a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited institution and registration as a Professional Engineer (P.Eng.) or eligibility for licensure. The role requires 10+ years of relevant experience in the structural analysis and design of commercial or institutional buildings. Candidates should be proficient with structural design and modeling software and have a thorough understanding of applicable building codes, standards, and industry practices. Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills are essential, with proven experience mentoring technical staff and managing multidisciplinary projects.

This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications ($125,840.00 per year +).
