Position Description

Lead and contribute to a variety of land surveying projects while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams in a dynamic and growth-oriented environment. Apply advanced technical expertise in land measurement, boundary determination, and topographic surveying and data analysis. Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and quality oversight while guiding junior staff and ensuring projects are completed accurately, efficiently, and in compliance with professional and regulatory standards.

Position Responsibilities

  • Manage and execute land surveying projects, including boundary surveys, topographic surveys, construction layout, and as-built surveys.
  • Prepare reference and registered plans for severances, subdivisions, condominiums, mining claims and Crown lands.
  • Conduct field surveys using GPS, total stations, drones, and other surveying equipment, and oversee data collection and quality control.
  • Prepare and review survey plans, reports, legal documents, and supporting technical drawings.
  • Interpret property records, deeds, and plans to support boundary determination and land development projects. Perform title searches and calculations.
  • Coordinate with clients, municipal authorities, contractors, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior and intermediate survey staff including oversight of occupational health and safety planning for projects.
  • Support business development activities, including proposal preparation and client engagement.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong technical expertise in land surveying, supported by licensure as an Ontario Land Surveyor (O.L.S.) or eligibility for registration. Additional accreditation as a Canada Land Surveyor, or a commitment to obtaining such recognition, is highly regarded.  The role requires 5–10 years of relevant experience in cadastral, topographic, and construction surveying. Candidates should be proficient with surveying software (MicroSurvey), and possess strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills. Proven experience leading projects, mentoring technical staff, and coordinating multidisciplinary teams is essential, along with a commitment to delivering high-quality, accurate surveying results.

This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications ($83,200.00 per year +).
