Ecole Elsie MacGill Public School

TBTE provided engineering services including mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, environmental, geotechnical, and legal survey services for the construction of a new elementary school building.

Ecole Elsie MacGill School

The school is 8,400 sq m and includes administration and staff areas, daycare, kindergarten, classrooms, servery, library, science classroom, gymnasium.


Matawa Education and Care Centre

TBTE provided engineering services including mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, environmental, and geotechnical for the renovation of the Matawa Education and Care Centre building.

Areas of renovation to the 13,413 sq m building included basement, main floor and second floor.  The following areas were developed: public entrances, administration and student support, cafeteria and commercial kitchen, learning spaces, cultural, spiritual and recreational areas, exterior cultural spaces including sweat lodge and healing centre, physical and mental health spaces, student accommodations.


Salvation Army Journey To Life Building

TBTE provided engineering services including mechanical, electrical, structural, civil, environmental, and geotechnical for the construction of the new Salvation Army Building.

The 1,318 sq m residential housing building included emergency shelter and transitional housing, administrative offices and related program spaces, two commercial kitchens, dining room, food bank, wellness centre, chapel, a commercial laundry, outdoor basketball court and extensive landscaping and stormwater management.


FedEx Terminal Design Build

TBTE provided engineering services for a new pre-engineered FedEx Ground Terminal Building in Innova Park in Thunder Bay, ON.

TBTE provided structural, mechanical, electrical, civil, geotechnical, topographic survey and materials testing. In addition to the deliverables, TBTE provided contract administration services throughout construction.

The 1,127 sq m building includes a distribution area and administration office area.


Sioux North High School

TBTE provided engineering services including electrical, mechanical, structural, and geotechnical for the construction of the new High School.

The school is 6,000 sq m in size and includes administration and staff areas, gymnasium, washroom and locker facilities, cafetorium/theater, storage, program rooms, and classrooms including general, shops, music, science, cosmetology, exercise, computer, life skills, library, visual arts, and food lab.


Boulevard Lake Dam Illumination

TBT Engineering, together with SACO Technologies Inc., designed façade lighting for the Boulevard Lake Dam in Thunder Bay.  The lighting uses solid-state LED technology and is capable of multiple colours and programmed scenes for days such as Christmas and Easter.  The lights are controlled via an App or a PC.


New Diedrich D70 Drill Rig

Lunch Time Meetings 2021

Every summer our employees would get together for BBQs and Fish Frys. We would fill our lunch room to the brim, not an empty seat in the room. These years we have had to alter our approach.

Instead of eating inside, we ventured out. spreading out amongst our campus, we ate great food and caught up with people we haven’t seen in a long time.

We are done for now but next year should hopefully be back to our normal set up.
