The successful candidate will work with TBTE’s Civil Engineering divisions on civil design projects and be responsible for items including:

  • Producing detailed drawings and calculations in accordance with established codes, standards, and specifications – Focus on highways, roadways, infrastructure, municipal design, and stormwater management using Civil 3D, InRoads and OpenRoads.
  • Applying technical principles towards various design and development tasks.
  • Working with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope and objectives.

Demonstrated technical abilities in civil engineering design and contract administration, along with associated qualifications and certifications are required. The ideal candidate will have 5-10+ years’ related experience and possess knowledge of relevant engineering codes and design software.

Driller Helper

Join our team of experts and experience beautiful Northwestern Ontario with TBT Engineering’s Drilling division!

Reporting to the Manager of Drilling Services, the successful candidate will assist drillers with environmental and geotechnical drilling operations.

Full Description

Candidates with experience working with or around heavy equipment and using tools / troubleshooting mechanical issues are preferred. A valid Ontario Class “G” driver’s license (or equivalent) and a good driving record are required.

Demonstrated technical abilities, together with a knowledge of relevant drilling procedures and equipment are definite assets, but no experience is required. The position is physically demanding and involves lifting and moving heavy material.

Traveling expenses and accommodations are paid for by the Company. Overtime is provided for any time worked beyond 44 hours per week. Opportunities for professional development and advancement within the company exist.

  • Coordinating project schedules, resources, equipment, and information.
  • Contributing to writing and overall development of proposals.
  • Maintaining and organizing project documentation.
  • Routine administrative tasks including general reception, printing, photocopying, binding documents, ensuring adequate inventory of supplies, and general clerical duties.

Demonstrated abilities in administration and project management, along with associated qualifications and certifications are definite assets.  The ideal candidate will have a degree or diploma in Business, English, or a related field, a strong interest in project administration and an intermediate to advanced knowledge level of the Microsoft Office suite of products. Knowledge of relevant engineering procurement processes, a knack for business writing, and the ability to review documentation and provide constructive and insightful feedback are definite assets.

This position is classified as full time contract (two year pregnancy leave coverage).
