General Labourer - Equipment, Fleet and Facilities

Join our team and help maintain the resources that help us work!

The Equipment, Fleet and Facilities General Labourer will be accountable for maintaining our TBTE campus, equipment, and fleet.

Full Description

Day to day tasks may vary as seasons and conditions change, major responsibilities include:

  • Facilitate maintenance of fleet vehicles both on-road and off-road
  • Facility and property maintenance
  • Managing inventory and maintaining the equipment and equipment storage area
  • Performing other similar duties as requested by leadership

Previous experience with facility maintenance, small repairs, and experience managing equipment, resources and inventory are all assets.

Rate of pay and employment classification will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications. All other benefits will be as per TBT Engineering corporate polices.

Civil Engineering Technician

Civil Engineering Technicians will be involved in performing field and laboratory testing and inspection on projects throughout Northwestern Ontario.

Full Description

Successful candidates will have knowledge and abilities in Civil Engineering Technology, along with associated education. Demonstrated technical abilities, together with a knowledge of relevant specifications and test methods are definite assets, but no experience is required.

Surveyor

Join our team of experts and experience beautiful Northwestern Ontario with TBT Engineering’s
Geomatics division!

Working under direction of the Manager of Geomatics, Surveyors will complete engineering and
legal surveys on a diverse range of projects.

Full Description

Successful candidates will have an interest in surveying and working outdoors. Experience
operating ATV’s and snowmobiles is an asset. A valid Class G or G2 Ontario driver’s license is
required.

Rate of pay and employment classification will be commensurate with related experience and
qualifications.

Ontario Land Surveyor (OLS)/ Canada Land Surveyor (CLS)

Join our team of experts and work in beautiful Northwestern Ontario with TBT Engineering’s Legal Surveys & Geomatics division.

The successful candidate will assist with on-going legal survey projects and be responsible for project activities including:
• Completing and coordinating land surveys involving:
o Retracement of original township boundaries and water boundaries
o Preparation of reference and registered plans for severances, subdivisions, condominiums, mining claims, and Crown lands
o Topographic and volumetric surveys utilizing all technologies, including drone data capture
• Performing title searches, calculations and drafting
• Working with clients to identify and define project requirements, scope, and objectives
• Supervising survey teams and overseeing projects

Full Description

Demonstrated technical abilities in legal surveying, along with associated designation as an Ontario Land Surveyor are required. Further designation as a Canada Land Surveyor or ability to obtain this designation are preferred. The ideal candidate will possess knowledge of relevant survey procedures and drafting software (MicroSurvey).

This position is classified as full-time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and skills. All other benefits will be as per TBT Engineering corporate polices.

Drafting/CAD Technicians

Drafting/CAD Technicians will complete drawings and process survey data for a variety of projects using Civil 3D and AutoCAD.

The successful candidates will perform duties including:
• Preparing and designing alignments, profiles, sections, and corridors
• Processing field survey data
• Following standards and specifications and examining drawings for conformity
• Providing general CAD support to various divisions

Demonstrated abilities in computer design applications (AutoCad and Civil 3D) along with related experience are required.
