Senior Environmental Engineer

Position Description
Spearheading the preparation of designs, plans, specifications, contract documents and detailed cost estimates with TBT Engineering’s Environmental Services Division.

Position Responsibilities
• Lead environmental site assessments, site remediation and associated reporting.
• Coordinate and complete onsite investigations including Record of Site Condition projects.
• Lead hydrogeological program design.
• Lead project teams, manage resource loading, employee training and professional development initiatives.
• Oversee and develop budgets, cost estimates, and manage project financial considerations.
• Perform project management, including oversight of budget, and supervision of assigned staff.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated technical skills in environmental engineering, underscored by relevant qualifications: a degree related to Environmental or Earth Science, registration as a Professional Engineer with P.E.O. or registration as a professional Geoscientist with P.G.O, as well as 10+ years’ experience and an understanding of legislation and regulations related to Environmental Science in Ontario.

This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications. Position Responsibilities
• Lead engineering, technical, project management and administrative direction on projects.
• Develop, verify, and finalize technical reporting and deliverables.
• Lead project teams, manage resource loading, employee training and professional development initiatives.
• Oversee and develop budgets, cost estimates, and manage project financial considerations.
• Conduct research, reviews, inspections, and technical investigations.
• Prepare proposals and actively participate in engagement with clients, government organizations, the public and suppliers.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated technical skills in civil engineering design and contract administration, underscored by relevant qualifications; a degree in Civil Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer with P.E.O. A minimum of 5+ years’ experience in the field is expected, coupled with an understanding of pertinent codes, legislation, regulations and design software.

This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications.
