Civil Engineering Intern

Position Description

Assist with the preparation of detailed designs, engineering analysis, plans, specifications, contract documents, inspection and testing, with a focus on collaborating with our diverse engineering divisions.

Position Responsibilities

• Participate in engineering, technical, project management and administrative on a variety of projects.
• Develop, verify, and finalize technical reporting and deliverables.
• Conduct research, reviews, inspections, tests, and technical investigations.
• Assist with developing budgets, cost estimates, and managing project financial considerations.
• Prepare proposals and actively participate in engagement with clients, government organizations, the public and suppliers.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated technical skills in civil engineering design and contract administration, underscored by relevant qualifications; a degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited Canadian university or equivalent education and experience. Any field experience is an asset, coupled with an understanding of pertinent codes, legislation, regulations and software.

This position is classified as full time. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications.
