Position Description

Contribute to a variety of environmental projects with a focus on fieldwork, sampling, and monitoring while collaborating with multidisciplinary teams across TBTE’s diverse engineering divisions. Apply and expand your technical knowledge in site assessment, remediation, environmental monitoring, and regulatory compliance with exposure to biological and ecological studies such as habitat evaluation, species identification, and environmental impact assessments while ensuring safe and accurate field operations.

Position Responsibilities

  • Conduct field sampling of soil, groundwater, surface water, and sediment in accordance with project protocols and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with environmental site assessments, remediation projects, and monitoring programs.
  • Perform on-site environmental inspections and document field conditions, observations, and test results.
  • Support the setup, calibration, and maintenance of field monitoring and testing equipment.
  • Coordinate with project engineers, scientists, contractors, and clients to ensure fieldwork aligns with project objectives.
  • Maintain accurate field records, sample tracking, and data documentation in accordance with company and regulatory standards.
  • Assist in ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations during all field activities.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will demonstrate practical expertise in civil field services, material testing, and construction inspection, supported by a diploma or degree in Civil Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering, or a related field. The role requires 1-5 years of relevant field experience, including material testing and construction inspection for roads, site development, or municipal infrastructure projects. Candidates should be proficient with field testing equipment and methods, and possess strong technical, organizational, and communication skills. Familiarity with construction standards, testing procedures, and regulatory requirements is essential, along with a commitment to maintaining a safe work environment and the ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams.

This position is classified as full time / seasonal. Rate of pay will be commensurate with related experience and qualifications ($25.00 per hour +).
