Position Description
Spearheading the preparation of detailed designs, engineering analysis, plans, specifications, contract documents, and comprehensive cost estimates, with a focus on collaborating with our diverse engineering divisions.

Position Responsibilities

  • Lead geotechnical engineering design and analysis, including foundation design and slope stability analysis.
  • Oversee and interpret geotechnical site investigations, including drilling of boreholes and laboratory testing of soils and rocks.
  • Develop, verify, and finalize geotechnical technical reports, including subsurface investigation reports, design briefs, and construction recommendations.
  • Manage and mentor project teams, ensuring the effective allocation of resources and fostering professional development in geotechnical best practices.
  • Oversee and develop budgets, cost estimates, and manage project finances.
  • Conduct risk assessments, site inspections, research, reviews, and technical investigations.
  • Prepare proposals and actively participate in engagement with clients, government organizations, the public and suppliers.

Qualifications
The ideal candidate will possess demonstrated technical skills in geotechnical engineering design, analysis and contract administration, underscored by relevant qualifications; a degree in Civil Engineering and registration as a Professional Engineer with P.E.O. A minimum of 10 + years’ experience is expected, coupled with an understanding of pertinent codes, legislation, regulations and geotechnical design and analysis software. Experience in trenchless technologies, permafrost, seismic refraction, liquefaction and machine foundations would be an asset.

This position is classified as full time.
